Check This Spot for Weather Closings

In the event that we have hazardous weather, closings will be posted here immediately.  We will also post it on the Facebook page and with local news outlets.  If we need to cancel kids and youth ministries on Wednesdays, we are closed when the Park Hill School District is out that day.  If the storm hits late in the day, it will be here and all the other outlets.

Sunday Message

The hardest lessons come when we look at something we thought we had down, only to find we didn't get it at all.  The enemies of the Lord Jesus thought they were really quite righteous, until they found out that loving their neighbor meant they had to love Samaritans too.  Pastor Clay's message from Luke 10:25-37 is And Who Is My Neighbor?  Come join us at 10:45 Sunday, you will be glad you did!

Missions Update

Helping the Homeless at City Union Mission

City Union Mission is a HUGE ministry.  They have the men's shelter that feeds and houses over 200 men each night of the year, sometimes many more than that.  They have a long term men's program that takes over a year to teach and disciple men who never had the kind of things a family can provide.  They have the Family Shelter, that houses 75+ each night, men, women and children, and the long term program for women.  They have camps for kids.  And all the offices and support to make this possible.
We sought a way to help out tangibly.  They use a lot of copy paper and toilet paper!  So we are collecting these two items at church each week.
SO FAR - 753 reams of copy paper delivered (reams are packages of 500 sheets)
2673 rolls of TP delivered.
2741 pairs of new kids' socks and underwear.
86 pairs of winter gloves, scarves and hats
153 packages/items of school supplies.
We are just getting started!

Chadbourns Are Missionaries of the Quarter

Our missionaries of the quarter for October through December are Jonathan and Sarah Chadbourn.  They are missionaries with the Rural Home Missionary Association.  They do church planting and strengthening of churches in small towns and rural areas all over America.  They have ministered to literally thousands of churches.  Jonathan is the assistant director of mission ministries.  Jonathan and Sarah became part of the family when they attended NWBC in college and worked with our college students. Jonathan recently completed a very successful project as the pastor of the Paw Paw Bible Church in Morton, Illinois.  Let’s encourage this special family with a generous gift.  The offering project is 13 weeks, some give a small amount each week and even save up change!
