AWANA is Fun

About AWANA

AWANA stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed. It comes from 1 Timothy 2:15. This is a very special ministry to children ages four through 8th grade. The AWANA uniform, which starts with a vest for Preschool Cubbies and K-2 Sparks, and moves up to a uniform shirt and then a polo shirt for the Middle School youth, displays awards and ranks the children earn by doing sections and levels in their Bible Handbooks. An AWANA club meeting has three parts. These are Game Time, Handbook Time and Council Time, which is a time of Bible teaching. The Clubbers take the standard AWANA games annually to the AWANA Olympics, where they compete with many area churches in Kansas City Missouri and Kansas. The Club meets during the school year on Wednesday evenings 6:45-8:15 pm, you can sign your child up at any point in the year, just come on Wednesday to the meeting.
